Church Contingency Plan for Services during CDC Restricted Gatherings

Due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19, and the confirmed cases in the state of Alabama and the counties of Montgomery and Elmore, the CDC has passed down recommendations that gatherings should be limited to 10 or less people.  Please know that we are in totally uncharted waters with this pandemic and I do not want to put anyone at risk.  So, for Sunday March 22nd, and until further notice, we will not congregate at the church.  I will be there with essential personnel to ensure that a service is possible. PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE CHURCH.  We are praying that this is only a temporary problem and that we can resume our normal lives as soon as possible.  We will use three methods of communication to try to accommodate as many people as possible.

Method 1: Facebook Live streaming will be available for all who are able to logon to the social media platform.  It will stream through Pastor Russell’s personal Facebook page.

Method 2: Free Conference Call is available to those who do not have streaming capabilities.  Please dial the following number: (617) 691-8507 (no access code necessary) or (425) 436-6353 (using the access code: 656331).  You may want to put your phone or device on speaker.

Method 3: ZOOM video conferencing will also be available.  You must have the ZOOM application downloaded to your phone, device or laptop to join.  The information is contained below:

Link: https://zoom.us/j/5653930743 (click this link and if ZOOM is on your device or computer, it will take you directly into the meeting)

If you wish to call into ZOOM, dial 312-626-6799, enter 5653930743 as the meeting ID followed by #

Although we are not meeting physically, the church still has to operate so we still need your financial support.  If you wish to give, you may mail your gifts to the church:

It is better to exercise wisdom during these trying times.  Please use caution in all of your interactions.  May the LORD bless you and keep you!  We will be in prayer together that the LORD will see us through this ordeal.

March 19th HateLess Foundation Citywide Feeding Program

Join us at the Crampton Bowl (Montgomery Multiplex) for the HateLess Foundation’s second citywide feeding! The event will serve the homeless and underserved from Montgomery and surrounding areas. Brothers In Grace (B.I.G.) will be on hand to volunteer, but the event is open to the public and anyone from the church can come and pitch in. We’ll meet at the church at 4:15pm on the 19th and depart at 4:30pm in the church van. A sign-up sheet will be available in the back of the church on Sunday March 15th.

OCC Atlanta Processing Center Volunteers Needed

Grace Community Church continues to support Operation Christmas Child through the packing of shoeboxes. For the past several years, we have traveled to the OCC Atlanta Processing Center to inspect and repack boxes for shipping. We have a trip planned to work in the Atlanta Processing Center on December 19th from 8:00am - 10:00am. The processing center inspects boxes before they are sent to their various destinations. If you are interested, please see Sis. Beverly Wheat.

Parking Lot Project

We are grateful to God for having the means to beautify our church campus. Our goal is to make the church look beautiful and be a safe environment for all. We are happy to announce that our parking lot has been completely paved and striped! We thank you for your giving and your generosity towards this project. Many thanks to the ministries and individuals who donated as well. As God allows, we will do more! To God be the glory for the things that He has done.
